Tune-Ups

A regular tune up is important to your car's performance. Depending on different car manufactures it's recommended a tune up be done somewhere between 50,000 and 100,000 miles. A tune up should involve replacing the air filter, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor. A tune up can also include replacement of the spark plug wires, fuel filter, PCV valve, and oxygen sensor.

Services Offered: Complete Tune Ups

Brakes

Brake pads are the parts of a car's braking system that actually take the brunt of the frictional force necessary to stop the car. In a disc brake system, the brake pedal activates a hydraulic line which squeezes calipers against the rotors of the car's tires. Brake pads are positioned between the calipers and the rotors to absorb the energy and heat then provide enough grip to stop the car. Brakes need to be checked periodically and replacement is necessary when pads or shoes are less than 25% of material.

Services Offered: Check and evaluate brake system. Replace worn brake pads or shoes. Replace wheel cylinders, calipers, or rotors if necessary. We machine rotors and drums if needed.

CV Axles

Should be inspected periodically after 50,000 miles and may require replacement as your car ages. A CV joint is covered with a bulbous rubber boot that tends to deteriorate over time. When a CV boot cracks or tears open, the CV joint is left exposed to the elements, which will quickly damage the joint. If the CV axles are inspected periodically, torn boots can be replaced as needed, potentially extending the life of the joints; however, if torn boots are left unattended, the joint or the entire axle may soon need to be replaced.

Services Offered: CV Axle Replacement

Timing Belt

Timing belts are engineered to last at least 60,000 miles, with some newer designs lasting the life of the engine. Vehicle owners are urged to replace timing belts according to the car manufacturer's recommendations. If a timing belt fails completely, the entire engine will grind to a halt and the car will become inoperable. In a worst case scenario, the valves and pistons may drive themselves into the camshaft and become hopelessly bent or broken. There is usually very little warning before timing belts fail, so a timely replacement may be the best prevention.

Services Offered: Timing Belt Replacement.

Coolant Flush

Over time, solid deposits can form inside a vehicle's radiator system, causing blockages which make the circulation of the coolant much less efficient. As a result, the vehicle runs hotter and other systems become damaged by the excessive heat build-up. One way to avoid such a problem is to periodically perform a maintenance procedure known as a radiator flush. Car manufactures recommend changing coolant every 2 years. During a radiator flush, the original coolant is drained from the radiator and replaced with a special coolant/detergent mixture and fresh water. As the flushing solution circulates through the vehicle's cooling system, it dissolves and removes any solid build-up inside the radiator channels. The coolant/detergent is then drained and replaced with a standard mix of coolant and water.

Services Offered: Coolant Flush

A/C System

Typical air conditioning unit usually form a closed system consisting of a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve and a thermostat. Motorized fans help to circulate the conditioned air, while thin metal fins allow heat to dissipate quickly. The heaviest part of a typical air conditioning is often the compressor, since it must be strong enough to withstand a significant amount of pressure.

Services Offered: Charge A/C system. Inject system with die to check for leak. Check head pressures to see if system is functioning correctly. Replace worn or leaky parts.

Computer Diagnostic

This device interfaces with the computer of your car, returning a diagnostic code which can be referenced against a list of codes for vehicles from that manufacturer.

Services Offered: Check Engine Light. Diagnostic scan your cars computer for code. Obtain code for repair.

Tires

The life of a tire depends on a number of different factors, some having to do with the quality of tire and some having to do with the quality of care. Typically, tires last anywhere between 25,000 and 50,000 miles One of the easiest ways to make sure tires last as long as possible is by keeping them properly inflated. To make sure tires last longer, vehicle owners should also rotate the tires. This usually includes moving the front tires to the back and vice versa.

Services Offered: Sell all brands of new tires. Rotate tires, plug tires, mount and balance tires.

Transmission Flush

The life of your transmission will last considerably longer and function correctly with the proper manufacture maintenance, which is recommended between 30,000 and 50,000 miles.

Services Offered: Remove transmission pan. Clean pan, replace transmission filter and gasket, refill transmission with new fluid.
